I worked with LA based photographer Kevin Lubera and model Tasha Woodfall on a '7 Deadly Sins' shoot. I did the concept and execution of all hair and makeup for each of the seven looks. Red is rage; Orange is Gluttony; Gold is Greed; Green is Envy; Blue is Lust; Light Blue is Sloth; and Purple is Pride.

I'm sorry this has not been updated in several weeks. My father was killed while biking home from work by a 20 yr. old under the influence of
marijuana. My family left the island for the mainland for all the memorials, visitation, and funeral. I have only worked a couple shoots since I have been back and I am slowly trying to get back into a regular schedule. I will be posting the photos from the shoot I did before this tragic event, and will be updating the blog more regularly. Thank you for your understanding and patience. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday were the days for the Bridal Expo here in Honolulu, Hawaii. I was there with FLAUNT and he worked both on stage and at our both near the foot of the stage in the Blaisdale. Here are some highlights from the shoot, but check the Facebook page for all the photos.

I helped out my friend Lena by doing bridal hair for her two models. Lena did two different bridal makeup looks and the photos from this are for promotional shots for her website. I have worked with Lena a few times via Flaunt and it was nice to be able to help her out while building up my portfolio as well.

My work day started when I left the house at 0615 on my way to Turtle Bay. With Nalani on makeup (and the bride) and myself doing hair, we completed 3 bridesmaids and one flowergirl. I really liked the younger sister who wore a cascading side ponytail. The second wedding was on the other side of the island in Waikiki at the Hale Koa Hotel. The other Flaunt team members had completed the bridesmaids and bride and I did the flowergirl's hair and touched up the groom before his photos.

I did a photoshoot with Flaunt for our Boudoir photography yesterday and through early this morning. We each brought some models and got ready for a sexy and glamorous shoot. I pretty much ransacked my house for backdrops, clothes, props and was sad to realize i left all my stuff for a Thai theme at home. A little disappointing but fun ideas for another shoot. I had three models starting at 6pm through 230am when we finished. With all the other models that were brought from the other Flaunt team members, it got a bit busy at times but the models and I had fun hanging out. I chose three different girls with three specific looks: Tammy my italian brunette, Jacquie my stunning blonde, and Lei my rocker chick. I am very excited to see the photos that the photographer, Kris, took and will share when I get them back. This was a promotional shoot for our portfolios.

It was an early night for me on the fourth of July for I had an early wedding to do hair for in Turtle Bay. I did a the bridesmaids and even finished and touched up the hair of the Bride, placing in her veil as the final touches. For one of the bridesmaids, I did a non traditional look twisted in with something classic. She explained she wanted some braiding and I think we were both very happy with the final outcome.
Bridesmaid updo takes on a twist of non traditional and classic looks for something meant to be remembered. (Back View - 7.5.08)
